ALTV continues the series of videos showing the streets of Historic Annapolis, MD. In this video we cover Maryland Avenue, one of the original commercial streets of Historic Annapolis. Maryland Avenue runs off of State Circle and the two have a merchant’s website at http://marylandave.com providing information on history, events, parking and a directory for all of the merchants. The other end of Maryland Ave dead ends at the current Gate 3 of the US Naval Academy. In the past, this gate served as the main gate of the Academy. The gate was also used as a scene location in the movie “Patriot Games” starring Harrison Ford. In the scene, Harrison Ford’s character Jack Ryan, is attacked and an attempt is made on his life as he leaves the Academy while walking to his car.
